Eric Spencer is Development Director of MAD Architects and leads the firm’s New York studio. With over a decade of experience as a designer, project manager and development director, Mr. Spencer is comfortable with all aspects of the visioning and execution of large-scale commercial office, hotel, residential and cultural projects; managing critical and sensitive operations; as well as fostering strong relationships and sourcing successful real estate and architecture projects in the US and in China where he lived and worked for several years. He works closely with clients to address their needs and strategic focus and to improve the design economy of their aspirational visions. Together with leadership in Beijing and Los Angeles, he collaborates on setting the strategic direction of the North American region. Originally from Newton, Massachusetts, Mr. Spencer received his M.Arch from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA (Public Policy and Economics concentration) from the Gallatin School at New York University. He lives on the Upper East Side.
